Business is literally looking good for a fledgling image consultancy celebrating its’ first year in business by being short listed for a prestigious national award and helping local unemployed people prepare for the world of work.
For almost twenty years, Eunice Craig has worked professionally in people development including providing corporate training to local companies. This work has enabled her to identify the importance of image as a factor in both business and personal success. As a result, Eunice formed The Image Coach, based at Sunderland’s Doxford Park which has allowed her eye for style to help businesses and individuals look and feel good. The subsequent transformation of her client’s staff has led to improved self confidence, enhanced communication skills and an overall better business performance.
Eunice’s professionalism and expertise in the subject has seen her rated by The Federation of Image Consultants as one of the top three most successful new image consultancies in the country at a recent awards evening held in London.
“I was nominated by Aston + Hayes in London, the college where I completed my professional image consultancy training,” said Eunice. “This is a really great honour as the awards are given to promote best practice in the industry.”
It was a double celebration for Eunice as she has also recently completed an image workshop for future call centre workers at The City of Sunderland College’s North East Contact Centre Academy.
The workshop looked at the impact of image when attending a job interview and covered the importance of first impressions, how to create a positive image together with a focused question and answer session for the pre employment learners.
“What is really important to realise is that when we communicate, 55% of the impact we make is based on what we see” said Eunice. “In the first thirty seconds of meeting someone a first impression is formed, even before we have had a chance to speak. So creating a positive and lasting impression can help in achieving career success”
