With an Energy Performance Certificate (epc) you can improve your emissions.
If you are selling a house (or renting from October 08) you will require an energy performance certificate as part of the Home Information Pack (HIP). The epc tells you the energy efficiency of your house and what your c02 rating is. It also gives advice on what to do to improve your ratings and typical savings per year.
A typical assessment should take no more than an hour as the assessor looks at loft / wall insualtion, boiler efficiency, temperature control and individual effieciency measures incorporated within the building.
