Tyne & Wear City Region Survey
Tyne and Wear City Region have commissioned Adroit Economics to carry out a survey of businesses, in association with Durham County Council and the North East Chamber of Commerce. The aim of the survey is to obtain views and information on a range of issues linked to business environments, workforce and skills, from businesses located in the City Region and wider North East region.
Tyne and Wear City Region is an economic partnership led by the 5 Tyne and Wear Local Authorities, Northumberland County Council and Durham County Council. The role of the City Region is to work with partners to address shared strategic economic priorities that cross local administrative boundaries, related to enterprise, investment, housing, spatial planning, transport and skills.
The survey will help to inform the development of the Tyne and Wear City Region Economic Review, which aims to capture a greater understanding of how the City Region economy currently works, and the opportunities for improving the performance of the economy over the next 5 to 10 years. Information and findings will also be used by partner Local Authorities in the development of their own local economic assessments, and will inform the evidence base of the North East Strategy.
