The Silver Bugle Association will be carrying out a Battle Run on Mon 3 May 2010 (bank holiday) starting from 11am until 1pm, the run is in recognition and to support of our Armed Forces by raising funds through sponsorship.
The mission of the Battle Run is to provide an event to raise funds for organisations who are involved in providing support to our Armed Forces
The funds raised will be divided into to the following organisations;
1. Rifles fund
2. Help of Heroes
3. Brothers in Arms (Monument in Sunderland)
The Battle run will be broken down into 3 phases;
1. Phase 1 – Battle preparation area, Move off
2. Phase 2 – March with Obstacle course
3. Phase 3 - Form up, Race, Re - organisation
Phase 1 Battle Prep & Move off
All members taking part 18-24 members will R.V in the area of car park in Wessington Hotel car park, the nominal roll will be taken, and the preparation of individual equipment will take place.
Phase 2 March with Obstacle course
The March will start from the car park taking via a route to the sea front at Seaburn, during the march the task of the members will be to cover and cross an obstacle course situated in the grounds next to Hylton Castle.
Phase 3 Form up, Race, Re- organisation
The march will finish in the area of the seafront at Seaburn (exact location to be confirmed), once the march has been complete the members will split into 2 groups and form up on the start line for the race.
