Sunderland Software City is inviting expressions of interest for phase 2 of their website (www.sunderlandsoftwarecity.com). An Expression of Interest is an initial contact with Software City to discuss in more detail what you can offer in terms of your services but also allows you to get more detailed information about the project. This allows you to make an informed decision on whether you want to be considered for the project or not. We are ready to move onto the next phase of the website and want to give users an even better experience. We are looking for more features and functionality that will dovetail into our current site and help make it the first point of contact for all software related enquiries, irrespective of whether users are learners, businesses or potential inward investors. The CMS has been developed on an open source platform enabling continuity from a content management perspective. There is a need for phase 2 to be heavily optimised for search engines – this will be conducted as a separate project but consideration needs to be given when developing phase 2. In the first instance, Expressions of Interest should be sent to paul.robinson@sunderlandsoftwarecity.com – further information will then be made available to interested parties via an informal meeting. We will be looking to commission an agency before Christmas with a view to the work being completed by 26th February 2010. Expressions of Interest should be made by 12pm on Friday 27th November 2009.
