Gaye and Laura, who love being referred to as ‘the chocolate ladies’, began trading last July at a wedding fair in Sunderland with the aim of supplying chocolate favours for weddings and children’s party bags. Their Belgian milk chocolate bars quickly became popular on the corporate scene and their client list already boasts big names including Centre for Life, Sunderland City Council, Toby Carvery Barnes Park and Sunderland Business Network. With a minimum order of just 50 bars and no artwork set-up fee, they are accessible to smaller businesses too.
If that’s not enough to celebrate, they have recently been awarded Best Wedding Supplier in thebestof Sunderland’s business awards, voted for by people across Sunderland. Here is what one happy customer had to say, ‘Delicious, professional, appropriate for just about every occasion, and unique!’
Even though they have been in such great demand they have still managed to support a number of charities most recently donating 300 chocolate bars to Grace House Children’s Hospice Appeal. The 300 wrappers were designed for their Midnight Walk and Pirate Fun Run, and were gratefully devoured by the event’s participants.
