I am writing to invite you to enter this year’s Butterwick Go-karting competition on Wednesday 13 May 2009, 6pm to 9pm. Last year’s event was a huge success, with everybody enjoying the challenge and in the process raising thousands in vital funds for the Butterwick House Children’s Hospice.

It's a chance to have fantastic fun racing around the track with your team.

The night is a team event with five members per team. There will be a practice session per team member in addition to the two-hour endurance race. We will be providing a buffet on the evening for all to enjoy and friends and family are more than welcome to come along and cheer you on.

The event will be held at Karting North East (Warden Law Motorsport Centre, Sunderland, SR3 2PR) on the twists and turns of their outdoor track.

There will be trophies for the winners and runners up, highest sponsorship raised and potentially a wooden spoon!

Each team member is asked to raise a minimum level of sponsorship, which will generate much needed funds to support the valuable work of the children’s hospice, from which we provide respite and end-of-life care to life-limited children and their families from across the North East.
